Faina is a soft-spoken mother of five daughters and one son, ranging from eighteen to four years old. Her father died when she was in level eight of secondary school and she had to drop out in order to help her family. Faina met and fell in love with her husband through their church choir. After seven years of marriage, her husband was killed in the civil war that ravaged their country. Shortly after this, the house she was living in collapsed when it was raining. Most of her possessions were destroyed. Now that she is part of Bake the Cycle, her children will be able to attend school beginning in January 2009. She praises God for being able to work at the bakery and live in a house that does not leak.
